L.O.Martins is an author and illustrator whose work showcases stories of respect, diversity, and tolerance.

L.O.Martins grew up on the move, living in countries like China, UAE, Brazil, US, and now France.

Moving around with her family, she experienced many different cultures…now these memories help fill the pages of her books.

An avid reader, she constantly sought out books with strong female leads and a diverse cultural backdrop. Realizing the market lacked a good collection of books that told stories from a cultural minority’s perspective, she decided to write her own.

 Her general theme is “It’s a BIG world” and she seeks to inspire children to explore it.
